Service Description

This course is recommended for anyone preparing for a career as a professional medical biller or coder. Course Objectives:  Identify the four types of word parts that form healthcare terms.  Translate word components and their meanings.  Use the rules given to build and spell healthcare terms.  Recognize and use terms associated with the organization of the body.  Recognize and use terms related to the anatomy and physiology of each body system.  Recognize and use terms related to pathology and procedures of each body system Methods of Evaluation: The instructional methods used include reading assignments, practice exercises, module review tests, and a final exam. To obtain a certificate of completion, students must attempt all required assignments, have a passing score of 70% or higher on all chapter exams and final exams, and have an overall final course score of 70% or higher within the allotted course time frame. Textbook and virtual learning environment included.
