Service Description
This course is recommended for anyone preparing for a career as a professional medical biller or coder. Course Objectives: Identify the four types of word parts that form healthcare terms. Translate word components and their meanings. Use the rules given to build and spell healthcare terms. Recognize and use terms associated with the organization of the body. Recognize and use terms related to the anatomy and physiology of each body system. Recognize and use terms related to pathology and procedures of each body system Methods of Evaluation: The instructional methods used include reading assignments, practice exercises, module review tests, and a final exam. To obtain a certificate of completion, students must attempt all required assignments, have a passing score of 70% or higher on all chapter exams and final exams, and have an overall final course score of 70% or higher within the allotted course time frame. Textbook and virtual learning environment included.
